The anime series Urusei Yatsura season 2 revealed on Thursday, December 14, that it will premiere as the second and last part of the new anime adaptation in January 2024.The eagerly awaited series will wrap up the new version of the manga series and serve as a continuation of the Fall 2022 series.
It was also revealed that a year-end special starring multiple voice actors from the production will air prior to the release of Urusei Yatsura season 2. The voice actors from the series, Hiroshi Kamiya, Sumire Uesaka, and Shuhei Nakano, will appear in this special, which will show on December 29.
The second and last season of Urusei Yatsura is an anime series that adapts a few stories from the original manga written and illustrated by Rumiko Takahashi. From 1978 to 1987, the manga’s first edition appeared in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine.
Throughout the 1990s, Viz Media has already published parts of the series in English under the names Lum and The Return of Lum. However, in the spring of 2019, Viz Media started releasing the manga under the original title in 2-in-1 omnibus editions with fresh translations.
