STOLEN DEVICE PROTECTION FOR iPhone:

  • Stolen Device Protection is not active by default on your device, you have to activate it. This gives your iPhone extra protection when someone tries to access or change sensitive settings on your device.
  • Apart from this, if your iPhone is not in a known location then this feature limits some of your settings, changing them requires Face ID or Touch ID.

HOW TO ACTIVATE STOLEN DEVICE PROTECTION FOR iPhone:

For information, let us tell you that to use this feature, you will have to update your device to iOS 17.3. Additionally, Stolen Device Protection will only be available on iPhone XR and later iPhones, iPhone SE (2nd generation) and SE (3rd generation).

  • First open Settings, then go to Face ID & Passcode.
  • Now, enter your iPhone’s passcode.
  • After this turn on Stolen Device Protection.

KEEP THESE THINGS IN MIND:

To use some apps or settings on your phone when you’re in an unfamiliar place, you’ll need to verify your identity with Face ID or Touch ID. These include using saved passwords or payment methods, turning off Lost Mode, erasing content, applying for an Apple Card, and more. Additionally, if you need to change your Apple ID password, update account security settings, add/remove Face ID or Touch ID, change your passcode, reset settings, turn on Find Me, or turn off Stolen Device Protection Even if it is, you still need a face or fingerprint scan.
