Disney+ has revealed the premiere date for The Fable, a new anime series based on Katsuhisa Minami’s critically acclaimed manga series of the same name. This information was obtained by The Hollywood Reporter.
On April 7, Disney+ will launch the animation, which revolves around the title character, Hitman. That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, Attack on Titan, Initial D, Blue Lock, Hajime no Ippo, and other popular manga series have been serialized by Kodansha, a Japanese publishing company, as part of Disney’s continuous cooperation.
Luke Kang, the president of Disney’s Asia Pacific division, discussed the anime genre’s steadily rising appeal worldwide in a recent interview with The Hollywood Reporter. He stated that Disney’s top goal for the Japanese market was to create more anime material. Though Disney has the exclusive global streaming rights, The Fable will also air on Nippon TV in Japan.
WHAT’S THE PLOT OF THE FABLE?
The summary of the show states, “The series follows a legendary killer for hire named ‘Fable,’ who has spent his entire life training to become the world’s best assassin.” “Fable, who is renowned in the underworld for his abilities, is only skilled in hastening death.
Fable finds himself at a loss when the leader of his criminal family tells him to stay quiet and not kill anyone for a year, after he closes out the year with more verified kills than ever before. Fable has been abruptly uprooted, relocated to Osaka, and is surrounded by violent criminals. If he hopes to survive, he will have to learn to manage his rage and fit in with the common people.
CAST AND CREW OF THE FABLE SEASON 1:
The manga, written and illustrated by Katsuhisa Minami, served as the inspiration for the screenplay written by Yuya Takashima and Mayumi Morita, which Ryosuke Takahashi directed.
The voices of Kana Hanazawa as Misaki Shimizu, Tetsuo Komura as Boss, Kenjiro Tsuda as Kojima, Akio Otsuka as Takeshi Ebihara, Jun Fukushima as Jackal Tomioka, and Kazuyuki Okitsu as Fable/Akira Sato are among those featured in it.
The animation studio Tezuka Productions is behind the adaption. The manga was initially turned into a live-action movie in 2019 before the anime series debuted.
