Morris Chestnut is slated to play Corey Cash, who Deadline describes as “a charming, media-savvy defence attorney who often represents the underdogs.” “Jax quickly learns that Corey lacks substance and is a threat to her position at the firm when she enlists his assistance on a recent high-profile case.”

Chestnut’s role description suggests that the second season of Reasonable Doubt will centre on a fresh criminal case. Of course, there’s no shortage of real-life incidents to draw on.
Shawn Holley, an attorney who represented O. J. Simpson during his murder trial in the 1990s and was dubbed the “Dream Team,” served as inspiration for a portion of the show.
