In March 2024, a brand-new Turkish Netflix documentary-drama depicting the life of Moses will debut on the streaming service. It’s sure to draw attention. Here is what we currently know about Testament: The Story of Moses, with very few details left to fill in.

Karga7 Productions, which has offices in Los Angeles and Istanbul and has previously collaborated with Netflix, is producing the show. They have previously worked on two seasons of Rise of Empires: Ottoman for Netflix, and they are also the creators of Midnight at the Pera Palace. The production business is also the one behind Hekimoglu and Yeni Hayat.

It’s reasonable to argue that when it comes to historical docudrama, Netflix has a contentious history. When it comes to historical authenticity, recent examples like Queen Cleopatra and Alexander: The Making of a God have generated a lot of debate. The show will narrate the biblical tale of Moses, the Hebrew prince who was adopted by Egypt and who became Ramses II’s adoptive brother. Moses led the Israelites on their Exodus from Egypt across the Red Sea to Mount Sinai, where he was given the Ten Commandments by God.
