Fans of the Star Wars TV series have been hoping for a possible season 2 since the end of Obi-Wan Kenobi in 2022, but Ewan McGregor’s update on the next prospective season doesn’t look good. Although a storyline synopsis is absent, we surmise that, given the focus of the first season on Vader and Leia, the second season of Obi-Wan Kenobi may stray from the Skywalkers.
For several years prior to the events of A New Hope, Obi-Wan was living in seclusion and had the opportunity to engage in a variety of covert activities that would have kept him out of the clutches of the Galactic Empire and away from Sith lords and Princess Leia.
One scenario is like Yojimbo in space, where the Jedi Master intervenes against his better judgment to assist a town that is in need of assistance because of organized crime. This would also be consistent with the best films directed by Akira Kurosawa’s already considerable influence on the Star Wars world.
OBI-WAN KENOBI S02 CAST SPECULATION:
It would not betray us if Christensen were to reappear as Vader’s armor and rejoin the Obi-Wan Kenobi ensemble. This time around, one of the greatest aspects of the science fiction movies in the Prequel Trilogy is still Obi-Wan and Vader’s interaction.
