You might be wondering if The Cuphead Show will get a fourth season as it marks its first anniversary on Netflix (and is trending on Twitter once more, no surprise). Sadly, it appears that the answer is no as of right now, but things could change in the future.
The Cuphead Show!, which had its premiere in February 2022, is among Netflix’s greatest animated shows ever. The last season of the show debuted in November 2022, after three seasons were released during the course of 2022.

Considering Netflix’s past in the animation industry, it seems unlikely that The Cuphead Show! will make a comeback for a fourth season.
Netflix frequently provides an initial order of x amount of episodes for more animated properties. The Cuphead Show! had an upfront order for three seasons totaling thirty-six episodes, all of which were delivered in 2022.
Because of this, any upcoming episodes would have to be included in a season renewal, and as of right now, there has been no official word on this happening, season 3 is regarded as the show’s finale.
Though there isn’t any precedence based on Netflix’s past performance, the door is theoretically open because the company never formally declared season 3 to be the last one.
We had a conversation with Deeki Deke, the lead writer of The Cuphead Show, in November 2022, just as his animated film The Soccer Football Movie was making its international Netflix debut.
In response to our inquiry regarding potential developments after season 3, the following was said:
“More needs to happen I have too many ideas for episodes! We’ll see, but I’m hoping for some sort of continuance or renewal.
It’s also important to note that Deke’s position as Head Writer ends in January 2021 according to their LinkedIn page. In fact, the majority of the individuals connected to the show on LinkedIn have since gone on to other endeavours.
