In season two of The Marlow Murder Club, Samantha Bond will return to Marlow to solve new murder mysteries. With almost three million viewers for the first season, it’s hardly surprising that a new six-part series is being produced.
The series will consist of three two-part murder mysteries. The first mystery will be an adaptation of Robert Thorogood’s second Marlow book, “Death Comes to Marlow,” the creator of Death in Paradise. The other episodes will be entirely original stand-alone adventures.
In Season 2, the team will reconvene to investigate a new wave of eerie criminal activity. Steve Barron will helm the series, which is set to begin filming this summer. The Marlow Murder Club novels are adapted for television by Thorogood. In their quaint, dreamy town of Marlow, it tracks elderly archaeologist Judith, dog walker Suzie, and vicar’s wife Becks as they work together to solve enigmatic deaths.
Although the fourth book in the series is scheduled for release next year, we do know that Thorogood is hard at work on it. This is everything we currently know about the next series…

Three fresh murder mysteries to solve are promised by the developers. “Our sleuthing trio is never at rest, as evidenced by the seemingly impossible murder inside the locked study of a sweeping mansion, the mysterious case of a man murdered in the middle of a peaceful cul-de-sac with no connection to the town, and an unexpectedly brutal accident at the prestigious Marlow sailing club that quickly reveals itself to be something more sinister,” they tease.
CAST FOR MARLOW MURDER CLUB SEASON 2:
As Judith Potts, a retired archeologist, Samantha Bond makes a comeback. Additionally, Vicar’s spouse Becks Starling (Cara Horgan) and dog walker Suzie Harris (Jo Martin) accompany her. Julie Dew’s character, DCI Tanika Malik, has returned. As soon as we learn further casting information, we will update this post.
RELEASE DATE OF THE MARLOW MURDER CLUB SEASON 2 :
Since the second series is scheduled to begin filming in the summer of 2024, an early 2025 release window is more likely. It will premiere on the free-to-air channel U&DRAMA, formerly known as DRAMA, and be accessible on the free streaming platform U, formerly known as UKTV Play.
Later this year, there will be a rebranding. UKTV Play still offers the first series for streaming. On October 27, 2024, the first season will premiere on Masterpiece in the US. The same network will host the second series.
