After receiving an official renewal, The Equalizer will return for a fifth season (via The Wrap). The drama series, which is currently in its fourth season and will end on May 19, has been renewed by CBS for the 2024–2025 broadcast season.

President of CBS Entertainment Amy Reisenbach stated in a statement that “The Equalizer, led by the incomparable Queen Latifah, has all the best elements of a powerful drama.” “Our audience roots for the series because it is full of action, bravery, suspense, and strong characters. We anticipate another exciting season.”

The beloved Equalizer television series, which aired from 1985 to 1989, has been revived as The Equalizer. Queen Latifah is the star of the new series as Robyn McCall, described as ” a fascinating woman with an ambiguous past who helps folks with nowhere else to turn with her vast experience as a former CIA agent.”

For the Girls Trip 2 sequel, Queen Latifah will return to her legendary role. Co-writer Tracy Oliver formally announced Girls Trip 2 last year at the Sundance Film Festival.
