The Netflix 2024 teaser for Squid Game season 2 gives us our first glimpse of the next programme. The South Korean drama’s first season rose to become, by far, the streamer’s most watched series ever.
With over two billion hours viewed, nothing has yet been able to surpass its viewing statistics. Its return for a second season is therefore not surprising, but you’ll be happy to hear that it will happen very soon.
Plot information are currently few, and our release window rather than a specific date is what we currently have. That does not imply, however, that we are in the dark about the much anticipated return of the popular show to television.
Actually, we already know a great deal, such as the fact that Squid Game season 2 will include a tonne of new challenges and games in addition to the introduction of a large number of new cast members.

Although there aren’t many story specifics available just yet, we do know that Squid Game season 2 will take up after season 1 concludes. To refresh your memory, Gi-Hun resolves to leave the horror of the games behind and travel to the United States to see his daughter after winning the competition.
On the way, he does, however, notice the recruiter passing the game’s telltale calling card to another person. At the airport, he has a change of heart and chooses to phone the number to try to halt the games. After he chats with the Front Man and chooses not to board his jet, we leave off with him.
That’s what we currently know, but we wouldn’t be shocked to see the Squid Game competition return in the future. It looks quite possible considering the introduction of the new cast and the developer Hwang Dong-hyuk’s vow that there would be “new games”.
TRAILER UPDATES OF SQUID GAME SEASON 2
Though there have been some teases, the official trailer for Squid Game season 2 has not yet been released. One was released in 2023 and features vintage footage of characters Seong Gi-Hun (Lee Jung-Jae), the Front Man (Lee Byung-Hun), Hwang Jun-Ho (Wi Ha-Jun), and the game recruiter (Gong Yoo) playing over the red light, green light tune. Then, we witnessed Yim Si-Wan, Kang Ha-Neul, Park Sung-Hoon, and Yang Dong-Geun—some of the recent arrivals—pressing a green button to begin playing the game.
In the beginning of 2024, Netflix published a trailer showcasing its entire lineup for the year, giving us our first real look at fresh content. This shows Gi-Hun shortly after the conclusion of the first season finale. “You’re going to regret the choice you made,” the Front Man’s voice can be heard as he runs out of the airport while sporting his red-dyed hair. Going full Taken, Gi-Hun assures him as he exits the airport, “I will find you, no matter what it takes.” I take it that you also have chills?

The release date and time of Squid Game’s second season on Netflix have not yet been confirmed, but since filming began in July 2023 and will take approximately ten months to complete, you can anticipate it around Christmas 2024.
