The near-future spinoff, which premieres on AMC, AMC+, and BBC America on Sunday, June 23, is set in the Orphan Black universe.
Per its official description, it will “take a deep dive into the exploration of the scientific manipulation of human existence” as it “uncovers a heartbreaking tale of love and betrayal, following a group of women as they weave their way into each other’s lives and embark on an exciting journey, unravelling the mystery of their identity.”
Jessica Jones’s Krysten Ritter portrays Lucy, a woman attempting to find her place in the world while having an unbelievable backstory.

In the just released teaser, which you can watch linked above, Lucy is attempting to uncover her true identity while running from a group of extremely deadly individuals. Sarah’s daughter Kira, who is currently a scientist and doctor, plays a role in the new narrative.
If you pause at 1:23, you may see pictures of Mrs. S, Felix, and Cosima and Sarah played by Tatiana Maslany. In addition, there are explosions, gunshots, and a fresh conspiracy for us to get our teeth into in this clip. However, what connection does it all have to clones?
CAST UPDATES OF ORPHAN BLACK: ECHOES SEASON 1
Keeley Hawes (It’s A Sin), Amanda Fix (High School), Avan Jogia (Now Apocalypse), Rya Kihlstedt (A Teacher), and James Hiroyuki Liao (Barry) are among the other cast members.
Along with Ritter, David Fortier, Ivan Schneeberg, Nick Nantell, Kerry Appleyard, Katie O’Connell Marsh, and original Orphan Black creator John Fawcett, showrunner and executive producer Anna Fishko leads the series.
Maslany played a number of parts in the original Orphan Black, which ran for five seasons from 2013 to 2017. Throughout the course of the show, she was nominated twice more and won an Emmy Award in 2016 for Best Actress in a Drama Series. She returned to the show with her co-stars for Orphan Black: The Next Chapter, an audio series that debuted in 2019.
