Hot Wheels Let’s Race, a brand-new animated children’s series from Mattel, is set to launch on Netflix in the spring of 2024. A high-speed comedy thrill experience for the whole family, the new Netflix series based on Mattel’s renowned Hot Wheels trademark promises to combine extraordinary vehicles, daring characters, high-octane races, and more.

Kids’ action-packed comedy series Hot Wheel’s Let’s Race, which takes place at a racing camp, follows the newest racers—Coop, Spark, Mac, Brights, Axle, and Sidecar and is inspired by Hot Wheels. Hot Wheels Let’s Race is an entertaining entertainment for kids and families alike, filled with mind-blowing racing, extreme stunt competitions, and adrenaline-pumping challenges.

According to Rob David, vice president of Content Creative at Mattel Television, “Hot Wheels is a globally recognised brand that helps kids realise their full potential by igniting and nurturing the challenger spirit that exists within every kid.”

 Let’s Race promises to provide fans of all ages with even more enjoyment through imaginative storytelling, compelling characters, and of course, fast cars, as Hot Wheels continues to grow and appeal to youngsters and families worldwide.

In the spring of 2024, Hot Wheel’s Let’s Race: Season 1 will be accessible on Netflix. Hot Wheels toys and consumer goods with the show’s vehicles, locations, and plots will soon be unveiled by Mattel, catering to fans who want to take the action from Let’s Race home. 

Hot Wheels Let’s Race features two playsets that are currently for sale: the Hot Wheels Ultimate T-Rex Transporter and the Hot Wheels Ultimate Garage.

Hot Wheels is the world’s best-selling toy, according to Circana. With robust toy, content, digital gaming, live events, and consumer products programmes, the legacy brand is still relevant today. Hot Wheels had its highest-grossing year to date in 2022.

PRODUCTION DETAILS OF HOT WHEELS LET’S RACE

Mel Shannon, senior manager of creative content at Mattel Television (Masters of the Universe: Revelation), Rob David, vice president of content creative at Mattel Television (He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles), and Jordan Gershowitz (Sharkdog) developed Hot Wheel’s Let’s Race for television.

 Executive producers Rob David, Christopher Keenan (Thomas & Friends: All Engines Go), and Fred Soulie (Hot Wheels: Ultimate Challenge) are joined by producers Diane A Crea (Barbie: Epic Road Trip) and Mike Roberts (Final Space). Sprite Animation Studios handles the Hot Wheels Let’s Race animation.

Along with new worldwide distribution partnerships for Fireman Sam and Polly Pocket’s prior seasons, Mattel is happy to announce the approval of new seasons for both shows. Furthermore, agreements have been reached for the well-known Mattel games Bob the Builder and Little People.

Season 16 (26 x 10′) will feature all-new computer-generated animated episodes featuring Fireman Sam and the Pontypandy Rescue Team. The show is slated to premiere in the spring of 2024.

 The modern Mobile Command Unit and an updated Fire Station are tools that the main character and the Pontypandy Rescue Team can use to their advantage in the upcoming season. 

The suspense builds to an exhilarating six-episode finale that showcases the Pontypandy Festival’s food, music, parades, and magic, capped off with a unique concept.

Based on Mattel’s iconic micro-scale doll brand, Season 6 (38 x 11′) will see the return of Polly Pocket and her friends and is scheduled for release in the summer of 2024. Polly and her pals tour the world and universes beyond in the upcoming season, stopping in places like Brazil, Skatesville, and Unicorn World.
