Famous writer Abi Morgan and Netflix have teamed up to create the suspenseful thriller “Eric,” which takes place in 1980s New York. Benedict Cumberbatch is the star of a limited series that looks to tell an engrossing story that will keep fans on the edge of their seats.
The official Eric poster and first-look images for Netflix’s new limited drama have been released. Benedict Cumberbatch, who is nominated for an Oscar, is starring in his first big scripted series after anchoring Patrick Melrose in 2018. On May 30, the miniseries will be available for streaming.

STORYLINE OF THE ERIC SEASON 1:
The summary of the limited drama states that it is set in 1980s New York and centers on the father’s frantic search after his nine-year-old kid vanishes one morning while traveling to school. One of the top puppeteers in New York and the man behind the wildly successful children’s television program “Good Day Sunshine,” Vincent, grows more agitated and upset as he attempts to come to terms with the death of his son Edgar.
He clings to his son’s drawings of a blue monster puppet named Eric because he is filled with self-loathing and remorse over Edgar’s abduction and believes that Edgar will return if he can get Eric on TV.
As Vincent’s increasingly harmful actions drive away his loved ones, coworkers, and the detectives attempting to assist him, Eric—a victim of his own delusion of necessity—becomes his lone ally in the effort to reunite with his kid.

Eric, a six-episode miniseries created and executive produced by Abi Morgan under her Little Chick banner, is described as an emotional thriller. Lucy Forbes is directing the series.
