David has said before that he doesn’t care for the series. After Season 8, Curbs Your Enthusiasm had a five-year hiatus before returning. But this time, David’s declaration felt final. Indeed, Variety noted, “Yeah, I said it before.” “But at the time I said it, I wasn’t 76.”
