The third episode of the critically acclaimed and Emmy Award-winning series ONE DAY IN AMERICA will debut on Hulu today, according to a joint announcement from National Geographic and Hulu.
The Emmy Award-winning 72 Films’ executive producers David Glover and Mark Raphael, BAFTA Award-winning director Marian Mohamed, and Academy Award-winning directors Dan Lindsay and T.J. Martin are behind the three-part series, which will debut on Hulu on June 17 and air on National Geographic on August 14.
In addition to first-hand accounts from former members of the Peoples Temple, such as Thom Bogue, Leslie Wagner Wilson, and Yulanda Williams, a former congressman and aide to U.S. Representative Ryan, the series includes never-before-seen footage.
Additionally, reporters, other members of Congress, Stephan Jones, the son of Jim Jones, and Special Ops Air Force Sgt. David Netterville—one of the first U.S. service members to enter Jonestown following the mass murder-suicide—are also featured. He’s never talked about his experience for a documentary before.

In the film ONE DAY IN JONESTOWN, the controversial Jim Jones leads an ambitious religious group that aims to create a perfect community in Guyana. 918 people lost their lives in a mass tragedy that started out as a nonviolent struggle for social justice. The gripping series offers an intimate look into the final terrifying hours before one of America’s darkest chapters, as told by survivors and eyewitnesses combined with rare film and recordings of Jones.
CULT MASSACRE includes first-person narratives from former members of the Peoples Temple, such as Thom Bogue, Leslie Wagner Wilson, and Yulanda Williams, a former congressional aide to U.S. Representative Leo Ryan. Stephan Jones, the son of Jim Jones, Jackie Speier, former Special Operations Air Force Sgt. David Netterville, who was one of the first three U.S. service members to enter Jonestown following the tragedy and had never before shared his account for a documentary, and Charles Krause, a former foreign correspondent for the Washington Post.
