Casolaro apparently thought the administration sold the program to other foreign nations after stealing it from INSLAW. He also thought that the US government was spying on allies and enemies through a covert “trap door” entrance.
According to the publication, Casolaro was investigating when he flew to Martinsburg, West Virginia, on August 10, 1991. He was going to meet with someone who would supply crucial data to support his theory.
A few days later, the journalist’s body was discovered in his hotel room’s bathtub. The crime scene was covered in blood, and his wrists had been cut many times. Times Now said that although incriminating evidence was discovered at the site, authorities declared his death to be a suicide.
Nonetheless, Danny Casolaro reported receiving threatening phone calls to his family, coworkers, and friends. According to his friends and family, he was murdered when he died. They cast doubt on the conclusion that he committed suicide.
