Worldwide Parties And Gatherings Are Permanently Prohibited By Airbnb:

Parties and functions are no longer permitted at any Airbnb-listed properties globally.
The US-based home-rental service said the decision came after a temporary ban that was put in place in August 2020 after some people “took partying behaviour to rented homes” as a result of bars and clubs being shut down or subject to restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Since then, it has seen a 44 percent decrease in complaints about gatherings year over year and has gotten “good response from political officials and community leaders.”

After being reserved on Airbnb by a couple for a two-night getaway, a home in the wealthy Dorset neighbourhood of Sandbanks, thought to be worth £2 million, was demolished in March of last year after it was used for a party attended by about 60 people.

Two months later, after the house had been hired through the website, locals in Bearsted, Kent, near Maidstone, related how “at least 100 people” gathered there for a rowdy party with “thumping music all night long.”
For visitors who violate the party prohibition, Airbnb stated there are “severe consequences,” ranging from the suspension of their account to being permanently banned from the platform.

IN A STATEMENT, THE BUSINESS STATED: Amazing properties like these, from castles in Europe to vineyards in the US to huge beachfront villas in the Caribbean, thrive on hosting multi-generational family vacations and larger groups. Removing this cap is intended to allow those hosts to responsibly use the space in their homes while still abiding by our ban on disruptive parties.
The company forbade social media-promoted parties as well as “chronic party houses” that had turned into “neighbourhood nuisances” in late 2019.

Additionally, it has put in place regulations to lessen disruption during particular periods of the year, such as prohibiting customers from renting full homes for one night on New Year’s Eve in several nations, including the UK, unless they have a track record of favourable reviews.

AS PER AIRBNB: “This new, long-term strategy was put into place to assist and promote community safety. The statement reads, “In the upcoming weeks and months, we look forward to sharing updates on our work to complement our community policies on parties.
