Businesses may already connect their systems to WhatsApp and engage in customer support chats, generating cash for Meta. Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi disclosed that a third of clients paying trips via WhatsApp in India are new customers during a talk with Meta Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg at the conference.

He went on to say that the ride-hailing company, which launched its WhatsApp chatbot in December, now plans to further customize the service, starting with clients in and around Delhi before moving to areas like Brazil.
