DIRECTION AND PRODUCTION DETAILS

Jennifer Tiexiera is in charge of directing the docuseries. Stacey Offman, Richard Perello, Rhonda Schwartz, Brian Ross, Evan Lerner, Alex Lowry, Nancy Abraham, Lisa Heller, and Sara Rodriguez serve as executive producers in addition to producer John Jordan.

According to a press release from HBO, Unveiled will chronicle the tale of the Christian church La Luz del Mundo (LLDM) and the alleged sexual abuse that some of its members, many of whom were youngsters, claim they suffered at the hands of succeeding leaders known as the “apostles.”

The docuseries, according to HBO, is recounted from the perspectives of the survivors.

According to HBO, the group first got together on Reddit to discuss their experiences with abuse. Although LLDM was started in Mexico, it also has churches in the US.

RELEASE DATE

Unveiling: The first two episodes of Surviving La Luz Del Mundo will air on HBO on December 6, followed by the third episode on December 7. HBO Max will begin streaming all three episodes on Tuesday, December 6.
