Toyota Aygo X Updates: Toyota has launched the Aygo X, a new A-segment crossover designed to meet the needs of European cities and suburbs. The Toyota Aygo X is based on the Toyota Global New Architecture (TNGA) GA-B platform, which was previously seen on the Toyota Yaris and Toyota Yaris Cross. The car’s subcompact size makes it a strong contender to modern cars such as the Tata Punch.
The Toyota Aygo X will be available in two-tone color schemes. The roof and C-pillar will be painted black, while the rest of the body will be painted green, red, beige, or blue. The colors are named after spices: green is Cardamom, red is Chilli, beige is Ginger, and blue is Juniper.
For a sportier look, the Aygo has a wedged roofline. Front-end features include a trapezoid grille, LED daytime running lights, thin indicators, and fog lamps. The Cardamom green model is equipped with 18-inch matte black alloy wheels, while the other models have 17-inch wheels.
The Toyota Aygo X is larger than the standard Aygo, at 3,700mm in length, 1,740mm wide, and 1,510mm tall. The car’s wheelbase is 2,430mm, and the turning radius is 4.7m to accommodate urban surroundings.
The Toyota Aygo x is powered by a 1-liter, 3-cylinder 1KR-FE engine that has been modified to fulfill European requirements, according to Toyota. It complies with the EURO6D emission regulations. At 6,000 pm, the 998cc motor produces 72 horsepower and 93Nm of maximum torque at 4,400 rpm. With top speeds of 151 kmph and 158 kmph, the engine is coupled to either an S-CVT gearbox or a manual transmission.
The S-CVT transmission consumes 4.9 liters per100 kilometer, whereas the manual gearbox consumes 4.7 liters per 100kilometres. Macpherson is in charge of suspension. In the front, there’s a strut unit, and in the back, there’s a torsion beam. The front wheels have vented disc brakes with floating calipers, while the back wheels have drum brakes.
Toyota Smart Connect and MyT smartphone apps, as well as a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, are included. Driving statistics, fuel levels, warnings, and a car tracker are all available through the MyT app. In higher classes, the multimedia system in the Aygo X enables cloud-based navigational constantly connected services. Over-the-air updates will be used to deliver new services over time, thus new software and associated services will be automatically uploaded to the system. Toyota Smart Connect now supports Android Auto and Apple Car Play for wired and wireless smartphone connectivity.
