After it was revealed that actor Tom Hardy had competed in a martial arts tournament that he finally won, he quickly got a lot of Internet attention.On September 17, the 45yearold celebrity signed up for the 2022 Brazilian Jiu-jitsu Open Championship, which was being held at Oakgrove School in Milton Keynes by Ultimate Martial Arts Championships. He competed using his true name, Edward Hardy, while wearing a blue gi.Tom earned a gold medal after winning all of his matches.

He was a “very pleasant guy,” according to a spokesperson for the championships, and a “genuine pleasure” to host at their event.According to the spokesperson, “Although he was well-known, he was quite modest and willing to make time for people to take pictures with him. Being able to watch him compete at our event was a true pleasure.”Even though Hardy could not have been missed at the competition, his presence in it startled his opponent, who also described him as “genuinely a really good person.”Veteran Danny Appleby remarked as the actor arrived at the tournament’s semi-final: “I was traumatised. Just disregard the fact that I’m there and carry on as usual, (Tom) commanded.”Appleby continued praising the actor’s fortitude, claiming that he is “a really powerful man With him being a celebrity, you wouldn’t believe it.Appleby continued by comparing the “Venom” actor to his role in “The Dark Knight Rises,” “I’ve participated in about six competitions, and in each one, I placed first. But he’s undoubtedly the toughest opponent I’ve ever faced; he really lived up to his Bane persona.”Tom has participated in martial arts competitions before.The British competitor, a blue belt in Brazilian jiu-jutsu, won the REORG Open Jiu-jitsu Championship in Wolverhampton back in August. The competition was held to raise money for active duty service members, veterans, and first responders. He serves as a trustee for REORG, a non-profit that teaches jiu-jitsu to people who have suffered significant injuries or who are depressed or suffering from PTSD.
