Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro Updates: The screen of the Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro withstood being in direct touch with a lighter’s flame for 30 seconds.
- This year’s Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro was announced in July.
- The Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro’s rear cameras have a glass cover.
- When held up to a lighter, the display still shows a black mark.
Today I am going to write about technology updates today: The ROG Phone 5 and the Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro both break in half during the JerryRigEverything bend test.
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC-powered Asus RO’G Phone 6 Pro and the Asus R’OG Phone 6 were both released in July of this year.
The gaming-focused smartphone was recently put to the test to see how well it could endure wear and tear by the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything.
The display and body were put through a scratch resistance test, and the screen’s capacity to withstand intense heat was also put to the test.
Similar to its predecessor, the Asus ROG Phone 5, the ROG Phone 6 Pro broke in half during the bend test.
A SERIES OF DURABILITY TESTS WERE CONDUCTED ON THE ASUS ROG PHONE 6 PRO BY ZACK NELSON, HOST OF THE WELL-KNOWN YOUTUBE CHANNEL JERRYRIGEVERYTHING:
The display, camera, and body’s scratch resistance, structural stiffness, and flame resistance of the screen are all evaluated throughout the testing. A scratch test opens the video.
Although the Asus RO’G Phone 6 Pro includes Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection and a glass covering over the rear camera island, it did not appear to be able to withstand scratches at level six on the Mohs scale of mineral hardness.
At stage 7, the phone started detecting deeper tracks. This reminds me of the Asus ROG Phone 5 from last year. Nelson finds that the Asus RO’G Phone 6 Pro has anodized aluminium edges and detachable buttons.
NELSON PERFORMS A BURN TEST ON THE SAMSUNG AMOLED SCREEN OF THE ASUS PHONE, WHICH IS PROTECTED BY CORNING GORILLA GLASS:
Approximately 30 seconds pass under the flame until the 6.78-inch full-HD+ (1,080×2,448 pixels) display with 165Hz refresh rate panel becomes dark and leaves an indelible impression.
The fingerprint scanner was unaffected by scratches on the area above the in-display fingerprint reader and consistently recognised Nelson’s fingerprint.
The Asus RO’G Phone 6 Pro’s structural flaws were exposed during the final bend test, which was performed on the device.
The phone’s frame and glass back were both insufficiently sturdy to withstand the bend test, and when bent from the middle, the object broke in half.
Even though the phone was demonstrated to become unresponsive, the front glass does not develop any surface-level cracks.
Nelson attempted to bend the screen of the Asus ROG Phone 5, but it was unsuccessful. As soon as it broke from a position below the camera module, it split in half and ceased to function.
The single 18GB RAM + 512GB storage option of the Asus RO’G Phone 6 Pro retailed for Rs. 89,999 at the time of its July debut in India.
With up to 18GB of RAM, Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC powers the gaming smartphone. A 6.78-inch full-HD+ Samsung AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, HDR10+ support, and unique ROG tuning technology is featured on this device.
It has a 6,000mAh battery and a triple rear camera arrangement with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor as its focal point.
