We see the emergence of Colin Farrell’s Penguin as a major crime boss in Gotham near the end of the film.Despite the fact that this suggests Penguin may be the bad guy, Reeves has already prepared the stage for a well-known adversary to go head-to-head with Pattinson’s Batman.Of course, we’re talking about the Joker, the Clown Prince of Crime, who was temporarily played by Barry Keoghan.
A brief discussion between Paul Dano’s Riddler and a mystery fellow inmate in Arkham Asylum with an all-too-familiar laugh appeared in the film.In addition, Warner Bros. has released a deleted scene from the film, which shows the Dark Knight and the Clown Prince of Crime having an intense conversation (see it here).
Fans are already excited to see who will be returning to the franchise following Warner Bros.’ announcement at CinemaCon.The roles of butler Alfred Pennyworth and Commissioner Gordon will almost definitely be reprised by Andy Serkis and Jeffrey Wright. But it’s unclear whether Zoe Kravitz’s Cat woman will return to Gotham after her arc in The Batman ended with her leaving the city.
