Surfside Girls Apple TV+ Release Date, and More About Latest Web Series Updates

Newly released on Apple TV+ is a preview for the brand-new children’s and the family sitcom “Surfside Girls,” which premiered on Friday, August 19.

The live-action series, which is based on the bestselling IDW graphic novel series of the same name, was co-created by author Kim Dwinell, Alex Diaz, and Julie Sagalowsky Diaz, as well as WGA Award-winning showrunner May Chan (“American Girl: Corinne Tan,” “The Astronauts”), Kim Dwinell, and Julie Sagalowsky Diaz (“The Shannara Chronicles,” “What’s Up Warthogs!”).

It follows best friends Sam and Jade as they solve supernatural mysteries in their sleepy California beach town.

Spencer HermesRebello (“Troppo”), YaYa Gosselin (“We Can Be Heroes,” “FBI: Most Wanted”), and Miya Cech (“Marvelous and the Black Hole,” “Rim of the World”) are the stars of “Surfside Girls.”

Chan co-wrote, co-developed, and executive produced the show, which is made by Endeavor Content and IDW Entertainment. Chan also serves as the showrunner. The executive producer for the film is Paul Stupin (“Switched at Birth,” “Dawson’s Creek”).

Together with Sagalowsky Diaz, Diaz serves as co-developer, writer, and executive producer. The first two episodes are directed and executive produced by America Young (“Roswell, New Mexico,” “Legacies”).

Executive producing the show is Lydia Antonini (“Locke & Key,” “Halo 4: Forward Unto Dawn,” “October Faction”). For IDW, Paul Davidson and Jeff Brustrom act as executive producers.
