Spider-Man: No Way Home: Update On Release Date & More

Spider-Man: No Way Home Tom Holland’s third solo adventure as Peter Parker is set to be one of Marvel’s Phase 4’s most anticipated films. With Black Widow receiving positive reviews but still situated in the past, Spider-Man: No Way Home will be our first glimpse into the MCU’s future.

There’s a lot to look forward to in Spider-Man 3, which Holland has described as the “biggest ambitious standalone superhero film ever.” Perhaps a bold statement, but one that it might easily live up to. We already know it will bring back several characters from the Spider-Man films prior to the MCU crossover, and there are plenty of rumours about who else may be returning.

Nothing has been officially confirmed as of yet, but we should know for sure in December whether or not the rumours were accurate. The picture appears to be on track for a winter release, although unforeseen delays are always a possibility. While we wait for the debut trailer, here’s all you need to know about everyone’s favourite web comeback.

Release Date Of Spider-Man: No Way Home

To cut a long tale short, the Far From Home sequel will be released in theatres in the United Kingdom and the United States on December 17, 2021. Despite past delays for the film, we have high hopes that the December release date will be kept. However, as we’ve seen, no forthcoming release date is set in stone, so it could be shifted at any time.

After concluding filming on the Uncharted video game film, Holland joined the set in Atlanta in late October 2020 to begin filming. Barring any reshoots, production ended in late March 2021. Second unit director George Cottle confirmed the news by sharing a photo of the false titles board from the official release.

Some fans interpreted Cottle’s hashtagging of the name of Chris Daniels, who played Tobey Maguire’s stunt double in the original Spider-Man trilogy, as confirmation of the exciting comeback. You can’t read too much into it because Daniels also worked on the previous Spider-Man MCU films, as well as Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame.

The Cast Update- Who Will Return?

Spider-Man: No Way Home

Of course, Tom Holland will reprise his role as Peter Parker, a.k.a. Spider-Man, in the third film, but he might appear a little different this time around – and we’re not just talking about his physical metamorphosis. Holland confessed that he refused to wear a wig to make his hair appear more like Peter Parker’s because his Uncharted hair was “far cooler.” He also admitted that he moved directly from filming Uncharted to filming the third Spider-Man movie. In addition to Holland, Zendaya will reprise her role as MJ, while Jacob Batalon will reprise his role as Peter’s BFF Ned.

Tony Revolori will reprise his role as Flash Thompson, a Spider-Man fanatic who frequently disparages Peter Parker (awkward). After revealing some behind-the-scenes footage, Hannibal Buress appears to be returning as Coach Wilson. JB Smoove, who plays Peter’s teacher Julius Dell, is another actor who has guaranteed their return.

Benedict Cumberbatch will play Doctor Strange, replacing Tony Stark and Nick Fury as mentors in the previous films, though it’s unclear how big of a part he’ll play. Doctor Strange was one of the superheroes to whom Peter Parker turned when his true identity was revealed in the comics.

The Plot of Spider-Man: No Way Home

There’s been no official word on the plot of the film yet, other than Holland’s promise that it’ll be “totally nuts,” which, based on the casting thus far, appears to be correct. It’s unclear how all of them (maybe returning) Spider-Men and other villains will fit in, as it could be anything from a cameo to a full-fledged primary part, or anything in between.

Holland shared his delight with fans after receiving the completed screenplay shortly after arriving on set, but he promised not to give anything away: “I’m not going to tell you anything about it because I’ve learnt my lesson.” In February 2021, he added that they’re “figuring things out as we go on this one,” which isn’t unusual for a blockbuster but might also indicate that they’re awaiting confirmation of numerous cameos.

I hope fans will be satisfied with this information. Stay tuned for more updates.
