Sonos Ray, the latest offering from the American audio company, was presented on Thursday. The new sound bar is available in two colour options and includes touch controls as well as Apple AirPlay 2 connectivity. Sonos Ray falls under the entry-level audio sector when compared to the company’s other products.
To reproduce high frequencies, it has two tweeters and four class-D digital amplifiers. The Sonos Ray uses an optical cable to connect to a TV or laptop and supports Dolby Digital audio. It works with the Sonos app, which allows users to control the bass of the Sonos Ray from their phones

Price and Availability of Sonos Ray
In the United States, the new Ray costs $279 (approximately Rs. 21,600). The sound bar is available in Black and White colour variants and is presently available for preorder on the company website in the United States, with deliveries beginning on June 7. The introduction of the Ray in India and other international markets has yet to be confirmed.
Specifications and Characteristics of Sonos Ray
To provide bass and generate a high-frequency response, Sonos’ new sound bar includes two mid-woofers, four Class-D digital amplifiers, and two tweeters. To play, pause, adjust volume, skip, and replay music, the Sonos Ray has capacitive touch controls on the body. A quad-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 2.4GHz powers it.
LED indicators for connection and mute status are also included on the soundbar. The soundbar can be used with the Sonos app, which is available on Google Play or Apple’s App Store, to change the bass, treble, and loudness, as well as access other services.
It has WiFi 802.11/b/g/n connectivity and can stream audio from Spotify Connect and Amazon Music, among other services. It comes with an optical cable that may be used to connect it to TVs or computers. Sonos Ray can decode Stereo PCM, Dolby Digital 5.1, and DTS Digital Surround audio formats.
The device supports the company’s True play tuning technology, which optimises sound based on the environment using an iOS device’s microphone. It also supports the Night sound feature, which lowers the volume of loud sounds while raising the volume of softer ones. Users can also connect the gadget to other Sonos speakers for multiroom audio. The soundbar is 1.95 kg and is 71x559x95mm.
