• A Galaxy phone has yet to include the ISOCELL HP3 sensor.
• According to rumours, Motorola Frontier will use a Samsung ISOCELL HP1 sensor.

Today I am going to write about technology updates today: Forget 108 megapixels, Samsung’s 450-megapixel image sensor in the production implies a trademark.

According to rumours, Samsung is developing a massive 450-megapixel ISOCELL camera sensor. The information was discovered following the discovery of a Samsung trademark application for Hexa2pixel on KIPRIS in South Korea and TMView in Europe. It is best to treat this report with a grain of salt because the trademark makes no mention of resolution or whether it is a camera sensor or not.

A GALAXY PHONE HAS YET TO INCLUDE THE ISOCELL HP3 SENSOR:

The 200-megapixel Tera2pixel ISOCELL HP3 sensor was launched by the South Korean electronics titan last month. Samsung’s ISOCELL HP1 camera sensor was replaced by it.

SAMSUNG HAS SUBMITTED THE HEXA2PIXEL TRADEMARK APPLICATION:

In addition to appearing in South Korea, the application has also been seen on TMView in Europe. This trademark may indicate that the business is developing a 450-megapixel sensor, according to a Sammobile report.

The applications do not specify, nevertheless, whether this specific trademark refers to a camera sensor or a sensor having 450 megapixels of resolution. So, it’s best to treat these details with a grain of salt.

In June of this year, Samsung revealed their 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP3 image sensor, which has Tetra2pixel technology and Super QPD auto-focus. The company’s ISOCELL HP1 image sensor was replaced by this one.

Its pixels measure 0.56 microns (m). It has a 1/1.4 optical format and 200 million pixels. According to Samsung, this image sensor can record 8K films at a frame rate of 30 without significantly reducing the field of view.

The 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP3 image sensor will go into commercial pro

uction later this year, the South Korean manufacturer has recently declared.
Tetra2pixel technology enables the image sensor to function as a 50 megapixel sensor or a 12.5 megapixel sensor with 1.12 micron or 2.24 micron pixels in size to take better pictures in low light conditions.

SAMSUNG’S ISOCELL HP1 SENSOR IS RUMOURED TO BE COMING TO MOTOROLA FRONTIER:

Samsung has not yet integrated a 200-megapixel image sensor into a Galaxy smartphone, although the Galaxy S23 Ultra is anticipated to do so in 2023.

Other smartphone manufacturers, like Motorola and Xiaomi, want to introduce new models featuring 200-megapixel camera sensors. Samsung’s 200-megapixel ISOCELL HP1 picture sensor, which is a little older, is reportedly found in the Motorola Frontier.
