Ragnarok Season 2 Netflix’s Norwegian fantasy series has been renewed for a second season, with a story focused on Norse mythology that also has a timely environmental message. Magne, an unassuming teen who discovers he’s really the second coming of the powerful god Thor, sets in motion a tale that sees the young man battling against the forces of evil.
The Plot Of Ragnarok Season 2
Magne went head to head with Vidarat at the end of the first season of “Ragnarok,” calling down lightning in an attempt to beat him. Despite the fact that Magne survived the lightning strike, the fate of the latter man remains unknown.
According to Netflix’s most recent premiere date announcement, the second season will pick up where the first left off, which means we’ll find out if Vidar survived and how that will affect Magne’s family, the Jutuls, their business, and the city of Edda soon enough.
The Cast Of Ragnarok Season 2
Along with the premiere date, Netflix also revealed the full cast for Season 2 of “Ragnarok,” which includes several clues about where some characters will be in Season 2. Magne, aka Thor, will be played by David Stakston, and Magne’s younger brother, Laurits, will be played by Jonas Strand Gravli.
Meanwhile, Henriette Steen Astrup will reprise her role as the boys’ mother. Emma Bones will return as Gry, Magne, and Fjor’s love interests; Danu Sunth will return as Iman, another teen who seems to know more than she is letting on; and Odd Magnus Williamson will return as Erik, a high school teacher and the father of Magne’s late friend Isolde, who learned the truth about Jutul Industries polluting the world. Netflix also announced a number of new cast members for Season 2, but little is known about the roles they’ll be portraying other than their names.
Jens is played by Vebjrn Enger, Harry is played by Benjamin Helstad, Signy is played by Billie Barker, Odd Moland is played by Jesper Malm, and Halvor Lange is played by Espen Sigurdsen.
Release Date & Trailer Update
Netflix’s several social pages announced that “Ragnarok” had been renewed for a second season in early March 2020, only a few months after it debuted on the streaming service. However, with COVID-19 shutting down or halting so many productions around the world, it wasn’t clear when we’d see the next chapter of Magne’s tale.
In mid-April, Netflix announced that “Ragnarok” will be one of the shows arriving in May 2021, with six all-new episodes premiering on May 27, just in time for the long Memorial Day weekend in the United States, giving you plenty of time to binge the show and reconnect with Magne’s story.
