Nasa Dart Mission Launch Asteroid- Crashing Planetary Defence Mission On November 24!

Nasa set to Launch Updates: Final preparations for NASA’s planetary defence exercise have already begun. The one-of-a-kind project, which is due to begin next week, would crash a spaceship into an asteroid in order to detour its path. The Double Asteroid Redirection Test (DART) will aim for the moonlet asteroid Dimorphos, which orbits Didymos, a bigger asteroid. According to the space agency, none of these asteroids represents a threat to Earth, and this mission is just meant to be a test and technology demonstrator. Throughout its voyage, the mission, which will essentially give Dimorphos a nudge to alter its direction, will be observed by Earth-based telescopes and equipment. In the days leading up to the projected accident, there is a lot of anticipation. NASA has opted to broadcast the event live to the public.

On November 24, at 1:21 a.m. EST, a Space X Falcon 9 rocket will launch the DART mission rocket. This corresponds to 11:50 a.m. in India.

The live coverage of the launch will begin at11:00 a.m. IST. Live coverage is available on NASA Television, the NASA app, and the NASA website. NASA has scheduled a series of prelaunch and science briefings beginning November21 to meet the demand from space enthusiasts and to address their excitement.
