The official synopsis for Netflix’s Lou is as follows: A senior citizen who makes a meager living on a secluded island is compelled to assist her stupid neighbor in rescuing her daughter, whose ex-husband has abducted her and fled into the woods.
Janney will play the landlord, a tough snail, rule-breaking woman with, among other talents, surprisingly excellent tracking ability.
The titular character of Lou, in which Allison Janney was cast, is undoubtedly another one that can help her win awards.
Janney has already received an Oscar and a Golden Globe for her supporting role in the Margot Robbie starring movie I, Tonya. Additionally, she has won six Emmy awards.
The other main characters in Netflix’s Lou have not yet had their identities officially disclosed.
Lou’s official release date on Netflix is unknown, but given that filming began in the summer of 2021, we can presumably anticipate it to happen on September 22, 2022.
