In season 5, three police officers are shot dead during the hijack of a seized drugs transport, AC-12 and then move to investigate in possible police collusion. The hasting received a final written warning but continues to lead AC-12 and in Moffat, standing trial claims that the £50,000 found in Hastings hotel room in half of the sum. The remaining £50,000 is never found.
