Kim’s Convenience Season 6 is a Canadian television sitcom that debuted in October 2016 on CBC Television. It follows the Korean Canadian Kim family, who own and operate a convenience shop in Toronto’s Moss Park neighborhood: parents “Appa” (Paul Sun-Hyung Lee) and “Umma” (Jean Yoon), as well as their daughter Janet (Andrea Bang) and estranged son Jung (Simu Liu). Jung’s friend and co-worker Kimchee (Andrew Phung) and his manager Shannon are among the other characters (Nicole Power).

Season 5 of Kim’s Convenience comes to a close on a low-key note. Mr. and Mrs. Kim turn around the “CLOSED” sign, turn off the lights in the store, and retire up to bed after having dinner with the Kim’s at their home. The conclusion gives a sense of closure, yet there is still a lot of tales to be told For Liu, the most unresolved narrative was Jung’s relationship with Appa, which has been on a long and painful road to recovery.

Mr. Sangil Kim is played by Paul Sun-Hyung Lee (“Appa”). Kim Sangil, the family patriarch, was a teacher in his native South Korea before emigrating to Canada with his wife, where they now own and run Kim’s Convenience in Toronto’s Moss Park neighborhood. Mrs. Yongmi Kim is played by Jean Yoon (“Umma”). Kim Yong, the family matriarch at the start of the series, was also a Korean teacher. Andrea Bang plays Janet Kim, Mr. and Mrs. Kim’s daughter, and Jung’s sister, who is 20 at the start of the series.

Simu Liu stars Jung Kim, who is 24 years old at the start of the series. Janet’s sibling and the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kim. Arnold “Kimchee” Han, played by Andrew Phung, is 25 years old at the start of the series. Shannon Ross, played by Nicole Power, is 26 years old. The boss of Jung and Kimchee, as well as the manager of Handy Car Rental.
