Ye (Kanye West) won’t be performing on the opening night of Rolling Loud Miami 2022, according to the event. Kid Cudi will instead perform at Hard Rock Stadium on Friday, July 22.
The festival’s headliners for the following two nights are Future and Kendrick Lamar. In a statement given to Pitchfork, Rolling Loud co-founders Tariq Cherif and Matt Zingler wrote, “We were looking forward to Ye headlining Rolling Loud Miami 2022.”
” On the performance, we worked closely with him and his team for several months. The unfortunate news is that Ye has decided to cease performing.
Kanye West skipping the Headliner of Rolling Loud Miami
Although this is the first headliner to ever cancel on us, we don’t take it lightly and wish him the best. Kid Cudi will be the major attraction in Miami, and we are eager to see what he has in store for us.
Early this year, it was confirmed that Kanye West would be the headliner of the 2022 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival.
West announced his intention to skip the Indio, California, event just a few weeks before the festival and then backed out of his headline gig.
Following that, a Los Angeles-based production and design company sued him for allegedly failing to pay for work done on Kanye West’s postponed Coachella performance. IN February, West performed in Miami for the Donda Experience.
Throughout the performance, West played a number of Donda 2 tracks, including “Eazy” with the Game. In a recent performance of “Eazy” at a launch party for the Compton rapper’s upcoming album Drillmatic, The Game and Kanye West once again worked together. In February, there was also a public argument between West and Kid Cudi.
Soon later, both rappers appeared on Pusha T’s track “Rock N Roll.” It’s his last recording with West, according to Cudi. Earlier this month, Cudi made his debut mixtape A Kid Named Cudi available on digital streaming sites.
It was also possible to purchase The Boy Who Flew to the Moon, Vol. 1, a collection of his best songs. In August, he starts a tour of North America, Europe, and the UK. Kanye West and Kid Cudi’s agents have been contacted by Pitchfork for a response and more details. These are the news stories for today; there are still more to update; keep checking back for additional details.
