Rapper Kanye West is under criticism from the Anti-Defamation League and other Jewish organisations for spreading anti-semitic material on social media. The AntiDefamation League called the rapper’s latest remarks “dangerous” in a statement released on Sunday afternoon, and it provided readers with information to help them recognise and confront anti-semitism.Power, betrayal, greed, murder, blood, and denial. Anti-Zionism. These are all anti-semitic stereotypes that we dissect in our #AntisemitismUncovered Guide, according to the AntiDefamation League.

It’s risky that many of these fallacies have recently affected (West’s) remarks.Due to recent infractions of the rules and regulations of both Instagram and Twitter, West’s account has been restricted on both platforms.First came West’s Instagram limitations.

On October 7, the rapper posted a screenshot of a message he is said to have sent to Sean “Diddy” Combs. In the message, West is quoted as saying: “Ima use you as an example to show the Jewish people that told you to call me that no one can threaten or influence me. I warned you that this was war.Instagram decided to block West’s account even though it did not specify which specific content violated its rules; however, the post containing the text conversation has already been taken down.Following the Instagram ban, West immediately started tweeting more anti-semitic remarks.

West stated: “When I wake up I’m gonna death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE in a post that has since been deleted because it “violated the Twitter rules.” The irony is that black people are actually Jews, so I can’t really be anti-semitic. This kind of hatred has no place in our public dialogue. We respect the freedom of speech of all entertainers, but no one has the right to maliciously target and denigrate a minority group. We have serious concerns about how Ye’s words will effect his supporters, especially young people.”At the same time, we hope that this incident will finally raise Ye’s, his fans’, and other entertainers’ understanding of the risks associated with anti-Semitism. We’re still willing to talk with him about how damaging and erroneous his remarks are, the Community said.On October 7, the American Jewish Committee, a lobbying organisation that bills itself as the “global centre for Jewish and Israel advocacy,” issued a statement denouncing West’s remarks.
