that everything will be paid after the star received the rumored USD 9 million compensation for appearing at Coachella as the unpaid debts from numerous projects started to mount. When West withdrew from the headlining gig with still weeks to go, the business claims it was now liable for both the money it had paid other vendors for the canceled festival performance as well as the millions already owed for prior collaborations.

“We are quite disappointed that such a successful relationship has come to this since we are extremely proud of the work we performed with Ye. It is absolutely wrong for a celebrity to use their notoriety and reputation to manipulate willing colleagues, a Phantom Labs spokeswoman stated in a statement.

According to the lawsuit, the USD 7,154,177.67 debt was accumulated between June 2021, when Phantom Labs first started collaborating with West on event production, and March 2022.

The documents acknowledge that the company received payment for some of its early work, but they also show that those payments only came about as a result of pressure from the company, which threatened to cancel its participation in the “Donda 2” streaming event after receiving payment-related threats from its own vendors.
