As a follow-up to the Huawei Mate X2, which was released in February of last year, a Huawei Mate X3 foldable smartphone is rumored to be in the works. The main characteristics of the Huawei Mate X3 have been leaked online ahead of the official presentation.
A Kirin 9000 4G SoC is slated to power the device. It’s said to have a 4,500mAh battery and run on the latest HarmonyOS 2.0.1 version. In addition, the new Huawei foldable smartphone has been found on TENAA, indicating that it will be released soon.
Huawei Mate X3 Specifications Leak; Kirin 9000 4G, 4500MAH Battery Tipped
On the Chinese microblogging network Weibo, tipster Digital Chat Station released key Huawei Mate X3 details. According to the informant, Hongmeng OS 2.0.1, or HarmonyOS 2.0.1, will power the future foldable phone.
The new phone is believed to include a BOE Display PWM (pulse width modulation) screen with an ultrathin glass display. Kirin 9000 4G SoC could be used to power it. The Huawei Mate X3 is also believed to include a 4,500mAh battery.
Separately, TENAA, China’s state telecoms certification authority, has listed Huawei Mate X3 with model number PALAL00. According to the listing, the phone would enable dual-SIM and will have 4G connectivity. On the anticipated foldable Huawei handset, the listing also indicates the HarmonyOS 2.0.1 operating system and a 4,500mAh battery.
Gizmo China was the first to notice the listing. It’s worth noting that Huawei hasn’t released any details about the launch. The Huawei Mate X2 foldable smartphone was first introduced in China in February of last year, with prices starting at CNY 17,999 (approximately Rs. 2.01 lakh) for the 8GB + 256GB edition and CNY 18,999 (about Rs. 2,12 lakh) for the 8GB + 512GB option.
The Huawei Mate X2 has a 6.45inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. It unfolds to expose an 8inch OLED display with a refresh rate of 90Hz and a touch sampling rate of 180Hz.
The octa-core Kirin 9000 SoC and Mali-G78 GPU power it. It has 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of additional storage via Huawei’s Nano Memory card (up to 256GB).
A 50megapixel primary sensor, a 16megapixel sensor, a 12megapixel telephoto shooter, and an 8megapixel super zoom camera are included in Huawei Mate X2’s quad rear camera configuration. It has a sensor with a resolution of 16 megapixels. The Huawei Mate X2 comes with a 4,500mAh battery that supports 55W rapid charging.
