Hit And Run Season 1 Segev Azulai (Lior Raz) concluded Season 1 of Netflix’s Hebrew-English espionage drama Hit and Run sprinting west across the George Washington Bridge, a Mossad agent dead behind him, his daughter missing, and Segev inexplicably risking his life only to get into New Jersey (Take a cab, my dude.). The season’s only mystery or cliffhanger, including multiple unresolved occurrences back in New York and across the world in Israel, was obviously how a former special operation traveled from Tel Aviv into the Garden State.
To bring this original vision to life, Netflix enlisted the help of Avi Issacharoff and Lior Raz (creators of the successful Israeli drama Fauda), as well as Dawn Prestwich and Nicole Yorkin (The Killing). The result is a nine-episode international spy drama with two intelligence organizations, a newsroom with dubious editorial standards, and a Trump-Esque White House doing treasonous acts.
It’s a drama that falls in between cheesy crowd-pleasers like Who Killed Sarah? and popcorn dad favorites like the Bourne franchise. If Hit and Run get renewed for a second season, we estimate that the new season will have between 8 and 10 episodes. The show’s first season comprised nine episodes, which is unusual for a Netflix show. While there are exceptions, most Netflix shows have seasons of six, eight, ten, or thirteen episodes.
The Plot Of Hit And Run Season 1
Segev (Lior Raz) and his wife (Kaelen Ohm) are slain in a hit-and-run accident in Tel Aviv in this international drama. After the murders flee to the United States, he partners up with his ex-lover Naomi (Sanaa Lathan) to track them down, uncovering disturbing details about his wife in the process.
The Cast Of Hit And Run Season 1
Because it’s his story that’s driving the show, you can anticipate Raz to return as Segev. Kaelen Ohm, who plays Segev’s wife, may potentially continue to appear in flashbacks. Segev’s cousin, a police detective, is played by Israeli actor Moran Rosenblatt, while Segev’s ex-lover, Sanaa Lathan, is played by Israeli actress Sanaa Lathan.
Release Date & Trailer Update
The fact that Hit & Run isn’t billed as a limited series suggests that there’s room for a second edition. However, no formal launch date has been set because the show has not yet been renewed. Netflix is famously stingy with renewals, so don’t expect an announcement about Season 2 until after they’ve gotten a sense of how well Season 1 did. To keep the fans updated, the trailer has been released.
