Google Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro Under Development
According to a 9to5Google storey, Google is hard at work on this year’s flagship smartphones, the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Professional. However, the article does not specify when Google would release its next-generation Pixel smartphones.
According to the debut dates of Google’s previous Pixel flagship smartphones, the Pixel 7 collection is expected to arrive in October of this year. The inside mannequin designations for the incoming Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Professional are said to be Cheetah and Panther, respectively.
The next Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Professional will be powered by the Google Tensor GS201 SoC, which has Cloud ripper as its internal model designation, according to the report. Furthermore, the SoC will be paired by a fresh new Samsung Exynos 5300 modem – codenamed Raven claw by Google — that Samsung has yet to reveal.
According to the report, these specifications were discovered after Google released the Android 13 developer beta. Apart from that, little is known about the specifications of the two incoming Pixel flagship smartphones at this time.
According to reports, Google has changed the nomenclature sample for its Pixel devices. All Nexus and Pixel smartphones released prior to the Google Pixel 6 collection were named after fish or other sea life.
The codenames Oriole and Raven were given to last year’s flagship smartphones, the Pixel 6 collection. This year, Google will employ feline based codenames for its smartphones on the outside. Ravenclaw could be a reference to Hogwarts, or it could just mean something different.
According to the rumour, the Raven claw codename is a combination of two components: the Pixel 6 Professional casing and the Tensor GS201 SoC. However, as there has been no official confirmation from Google on any of this, the data concerning the codenames and their meanings should be considered speculative at best.
