SUMMARY OF THE TV SHOW THE CUBE:

The Cube will debut in the United States on June 10 at 9 PM ET/PT, according to a TBS announcement today. Based on the UK megahit and hosted by NBA All-Star Dwyane Wade, this high-octane series features contestant pairs who must exhibit skill, nerve, and determination as they complete seemingly simple physical and mental tasks – all while confined in “The Cube,” an intimidating glass box with its own mind and attitude, in the hope of winning a significant cash prize.

Each duo has nine lives to finish seven games that are worth progressively more money as they get closer to winning the $250,000 jackpot, whether they do it alone or as a team.

To keep the teams on their toes and provide host and executive producer Dwyane a chance to showcase his own talents, “The Cube” presents fresh obstacles in each episode.

Each side has the option to send Dwyane in for “One Shot,” a call to action in which the NBA champion enters “The Cube” to contribute his athleticism and compete on their behalf for one shot only. The series debuts with the most recent augmented reality camera and graphics technologies.

Objective Media Group America, an All3Media America firm, produces “The Cube” for TBS. Executive producing the sitcom with showrunner Glenn Coomber are Dwyane Wade and his production firm, 59th & Prairie Entertainment, together with Objective Media Group’s Layla Smith and Jilly Pearce.
