Cross, a crime thriller series starring and produced by Aldis Hodge, will premiere on Prime Video on November 14. Cross, produced by Paramount Television Studios and Skydance Television, is a complex, twisted, pulse-pounding thriller created by showrunner and executive producer Ben Watkins based on the characters from James Patterson’s best-selling Alex Cross novel series. 

Cross follows. Alex Cross (Hodge), a detective and forensic psychologist, is particularly capable of delving into the minds of criminals and victims in order to identify and eventually apprehend the murders.

Prime Video announced during the Essence Fest in New Orleans on Saturday, July 6, that all eight episodes of the series will release on the platform on November 14. Aldis Hodge appears as Alex Cross in the crime thriller, which has already been renewed for a second season.

 He is accompanied by Isaiah Mustafa, Juanita Jennings, Alona Tal, Samantha Walkes, Caleb Elijah, Melody Hurd, Jennifer Wigmore, Eloise Mumford, and Ryan Eggold.

According to Prime Video, Cross follows the eponymous character, who is characterised as “a detective and forensic psychologist, uniquely capable of digging into the psyches of killers and their victims, in order to identify   and ultimately capture  the murderers.”

The show is based on Patterson’s novel, which was published in 1993. It inspired 31 sequels, two novellas, and three books about Alex’s son, Ali. Patterson, 77, is an executive producer on the show, alongside others, through James Patterson Entertainment. Cross is also produced by Amazon MGM Studios, Paramount Television Studios, and Skydance Television.

Last month, Patterson joined on Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, where he discussed how the series is one of his favourite television adaptations of his works.

 “That’s the first one I can look at and say, ‘Yep.'” “It’s edgier,” the renowned author stated. “It’s more realistic about police work, I really like the way that turned out.” Cross will be available for streaming on Prime Video on November 14.
