CRIME SCENE : THE TEXAS KILLING FIELDS PLOT:
Joe Berlinger, an Emmy Award-winning and Oscar nominated director, is back to executive produce season three of the acclaimed documentary series CRIME SCENE, which examines how specific locales facilitate criminal behaviour. The new season, which is being helmed by Emmy Award-winning director Jessica Dimmock, looks into the “Texas Killing Fields,” a place where there has been a disturbing pattern of females going missing and then turning up dead.Calder Road is a stretch of property that received its name after the dead of three young women were discovered there in the 1980s and a fourth in 1991. It is surrounded by marshes and oil refineries along the interstate corridor that connects Houston with the beach town of Galveston. Even though their murders are still unresolved, one distraught father is looking for the person who killed his daughter, and the search and recovery organisation he founded helps other local families who have experienced similar tragedies. The series is driven by his steadfast quest for the victims’ justice as it delves into the frightening past of the area over a period of five decades, revealing a pattern of unsettling connections and missed opportunities surrounding the Calder Road cold cases that may, at long last, lead detectives to the truth.
