Matt Craig is the showrunner and executive producer of the series.

Diane Dombrowski is played by Lauren Ash. Diane has always been and will continue to be the life of the party, even when it is long done. Her heart of gold and willingness to assist others perfectly match her complete lack of adulting.

Daniel surprises his family by foregoing Stanford to spend a “gap year” in the city with his adored Aunt Diane, figuring out his route and what he wants to accomplish with his life. Chicago Party Aunt Season 1: Every Update About Release Date & Cast

In Chicago, Gideon is a fish out of the water, but he has a lot of attitudes. He’s the new boss in town, and not even Diane can stop him from reaching the top of the corporate ladder, despite the fact that she certainly knows how to make his life more difficult. Bonnie is played by Jill Talley.

Chicago Party Aunt Season 1

Bonnie, a buttoned-up, type-A control freak who has abandoned the blue-collar neighborhood on Chicago’s south side where she and her elder, carefree sister Diane were nurtured, appreciates the finer things in life. As the mother of her dear Daniel, she fights to let go of the reins as Daniel takes a gap year against the grain, but make no mistake: she would do anything for her family.

Mark is the sweetest, dorkiest, most unadventurous suburban white dude who believes living on the edge means staying up until ten or maybe sipping a pop before bed. Ike Barinholtz plays Mark, the milquetoast husband to the stern and uppity Bonnie. Mikey is played by Jon Barinholtz. Mikey is the gentle giant on the block, the son of Diane and Kurt. His stature may be the finest indicator of the size of his heart.

Mikey is caring and sweet, compassionate even if he isn’t the brightest bulb, and he genuinely cares about both of his parents, who may never be able to get their act together. Da’Vine Tina is played by Joy Randolph.

When Diane comes to work, Tina spends her days working alongside Zuzana, Gideon, and Diane. Tina has just the right amount of sass to keep Diane in control. Kurt is played by Chris Witaske. Diane’s second ex-husband, a hardworking TSA agent, has had it with Diane and has finally moved out, apparently for good. Kurt has a sweet spot in his heart for his ex-wife.
