Catherine Deneuve Will Receive The Golden Lion At The Venice Film Festival For Lifetime Achievement!!!

Catherine Deneuve Updates: At the 79th Venice Film Festival, veteran French actress Catherine Deneuve will be honoured with the renowned Golden Lion for Lifetime Achievement Award. According to ‘Deadline,’ the festival will take place on the Lido from August 31 to September 10.

In a statement obtained by ‘Deadline,’ Deneuve, who received an Oscar nomination for the 1992 period drama’ Indochine,’ said, “It’s an honour to receive this prestigious award at the Venice Film Festival, which I adore and have followed for many years, ever since Luis Bunuel’s ‘Belle de Jour’ won the Golden Lion. It’s also a privilege to be selected for this honour at the film festival that has accompanied me on so many occasions for so many films. Thank you, and best wishes.”

In 1967, Deneuve received the Golden Lion for her portrayal in Nicole Garcia’s Place Vendome, and in 1998, she won the Volpi Cup for Best Actress for her work in Nicole Garcia’s Place Vendome.
