Everything We Know About Ball And Chain

One of Miami’s most historic venues is Ball & Chain. Ball & Chain, located on the bustling Calle Ocho in the centre of Miami’s Little Havana, celebrate Cuban culture with authentic food, beverages, and music. Since 1935, the restaurant and live music venue has been a fixture, and it is looking forward to kicking off 2022 with a variety of activities and events.

The Ball & Chain, Today Known As Calle Ocho, First Opened It’s Doors In 1935 On The Trail.

Billie Holiday, Count Basie, and Chet Baker were among the renowned artists who graced our stage throughout the next two decades. The Ball & Chain’s heritage lives on in September 2014, when the doors reopened in Little Havana.

Ball & Chain has just announced that it will be offering Bachata lessons, as well as concerts by Miguel Cruz, The Ball & Chain Trio, innovative DJs, and plenty of dancing. They’ve put together the best daily itinerary to immerse clients in Cuban culture with music, dancing, and food during the month of January. Every day from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The Ball & Chain Trio will perform, followed by percussionist Miguel Cruz from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

On Mondays, Ball & Chain will celebrate Mambo Mondays with live DJ sets by DJ VILA starting at 9 p.m. and ending at midnight. Tuesdays are now Bachatues days, with a free Bachata class starting at 9 p.m. and a DJ set from Jorge Charun lasting until midnight.

Caramelo Wednesdays will have you dancing on Wednesdays. From 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., Jorge Charun will be behind the DJ booth, offering free salsa lessons to guests. On Thursdays, Little Havana Under the Stars is held, featuring a free salsa class and a DJ performance by El Russo.

Little Havana Under the Stars will take place from 8 p.m. to 2 a.m., in preparation for the weekend. With Miami Boheme and DJ OZZ, Fridays are in full swing. The party will last from 8 p.m. to 3 a.m., which is the ideal way to start the weekend.

On Saturdays, Ball & Chain’s La Pachanga Party will be a fun-filled evening. From 8 p.m. to 3 a.m., a DJ set with La Clave will be performed. Ball & Chain will undoubtedly be the place to be in January, with activities planned for every night.

Calle Ocho is known for its nightlife and is one of the best spots to spend your evenings. Ball & Chain is open daily at 11 a.m. and is located at 1513 SW 8th St. The best way to immerse yourself in the Ball & Chain culture is to attend one of the many events and musical performances.
