The production of Baby Fever, a six-part Danish language romantic comedy-drama conceived by Amalie Naesby Fick and Nikolaj Feifer and produced by Dorthe Riis Lauridsen and executive producer Piv Bernth from Apple Tree Productions, has commenced.
“Baby Fever is an intimate, funny, demanding, and surprising account of fertility therapy that we lacked when we went through it.”Being undergoing fertility therapy is really difficult “Amalie Naesby Fick and Nikolaj Feifer, the creators, commented.
“We know this because we’ve experienced it ourselves. But it may also be a feeling of optimism, joy, and laughter, throwing one into a wide range of emotions in a short period of time. That is why we want to create a series in which the drama and comedy are always present because that is how we have experienced the fertility process.”
What could be the plot of Baby Fever Season 1?
Nana sets off a chain reaction of large and minor disasters when she inseminates herself in a drunken state with a very special portion of sperm — her ex-boyfriend’s. Nana now needs to figure out how to explain her ailment – which she can’t hide forever – while simultaneously reuniting with her ex-boyfriend and long-lost love.
The trouble is that he doesn’t seem really keen on reuniting with Nana. Nana’s secret pregnancy allows her to see her clients in a new light, but as her falsehoods get greater, it becomes more difficult for her to manage them, and Nana must admit the truth – and maybe divulge a secret that could cost her everything – for the first time in her life.
It explores common issues such as making difficult decisions, family, and love “Nordic Original Series Director Jenny Stjernstromer Bjork remarked “We’re also excited to work with the outstanding Amalie Naesby Fick and Nikolaj Feifer, as well as Apple Tree Productions, to continue our successful relationship. We’re excited to bring this show to Netflix with this incredible team.”
