Meanwhile, photos of Arun and Bul Bul Saha, 38, from their Haldi ceremony, as well as a photo of their wedding card, have gone popular on social media. Lal and his first wife, Reema, split a long ago, but the Bengal coach currently lives with her due to her ailment. After their marriage, the new pair is required to look after Reema. According to sources, Lal sought the approval of his ex-wife before marrying again, and she was also seen posing beside Arun and Bul Bul at their haldi wedding.

Lal, who was born in 1955 in Kapurthala, Punjab, moved to Kolkata in 1978 after landing ajob at a tea company. As far as cricket was concerned, he became Mr Bengal along the road. Lal divorced his first wife Reena a few years ago after the two amicably agreed to separate. However, due to an ailment, the former India batter continues to reside with her.

It is also reported that after their marriage, Arun and his soon-to-be second wife Bul Bul will look after the unwell Reena. Bengal cricket’s renaissance man, who brought the team’s winning mind-set as a player in the 1980s, has now worked his magic as a coach.

Bengal reached the Ranji Trophy final in 2020 after a 13-year absence, and they are currently in the quarterfinals after amassing the highest point total of 18 with three consecutive victories.

Arun Lal

Lal, who was the hero of Bengal’s Ranji Trophy success in 1989-90, was diagnosed with adenoid cystic carcinoma, a rare type of salivary gland cancer four years ago, but he beat the disease and went on to coach the domestic side.

BETWEEN 1982 AND 1989, LAL PLAYED IN 16 TESTS AND 13 ONE-DAY INTERNATIONALS FOR THE INDIAN NATIONAL MEN’S CRICKET TEAM.

Lal is now cancer-free and has been a key factor in Bengal’s return to the Ranji Trophy final in 2019-20 after a 13-year absence. Bengal qualified to the quarterfinals of the current season after amassing the most points (18) with three consecutive victories.
Bul Bul Saha, Arun Lal’s long-time buddy, would marry him at the age of 38. Last month, the couple apparently got engaged.
