Apple is rumoured to be developing an augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) headset, which was rumoured to be unveiled during the company’s WWDC conference in June. Previously, according to a report, Apple pondered postponing the release of its mixed reality headset until 2022 or 2023.

While the headset may not debut at WWDC 2022, Gurman claims that iOS 16 is “crammed” with references to the mixed reality headset and its interactions with the iPhone, implying that it could debut before next year’s WWDC — or that Apple could simply show off the AR and VR features and the rumoured ROS operating system before the headset is released.
